John isn’t just a Realtor; he’s a true veteran in sales and customer service, a career he’s dedicated himself to entirely.  Since becoming a licensed Realtor in 2003, he’s built his expertise, earned his Broker’s license – as well as is an Accredited Buyer Representative, earned the National Association of Realtors’ Green designation, ePRO and Real Estate Negotiation Expert (RENE) designations.

John and his family have lived in the Brattleboro area since 1991, making him a local expert you can truly trust.  He’s known throughout the community for providing superlative and personal customer service – a reputation that earned him the Southern Vermont Board of Realtors “Realtor of the Year” in 2011, and the “Good Neighbor” award in 2025.

Beyond real estate, John invests his time in strengthening the community.  He currently serves on four Boards of Directors: CASP, the Community Asylum Seekers Project; the Rich Earth Institute; the Southern Vermont Board of Realtors; and the Vermont Association of Realtors Charitable Foundation.  John has been President of the Brattleboro Food Coop board, and on the boards of the New England Center for the Circus Arts and New England Youth Theatre.

When he’s not working, John lives with his wife, Kate Bullock, on a small farm in Westminster.  You can find him indulging his love of gardening or out road-biking.  Their children, Tyler and Guthrie, are now grown and pursuing their own paths in the world!  Tyler’s son Liam is the true joy of Kate’s and John’s life; John is doing the grandfather thing, asking everyone to watch videos, look at photos of Liam on his iPhone.
