Biography

Jody Graves offers 45 years of real estate broker experience and a high level of education to the customers and clients she serves.

Jody is committed to one-on-one personal relationships where she can help others reach their goals. She earned a Bachelor degree in Geology from the College of William and Mary in Virginia and an advanced degree in education from Norwich University. She holds the Tri State Graduate Real Estate Institute designation and is well prepared as a real estate broker. She began as the sales manager for the Shea Insurance Agency and Real Estate, Inc. in Bennington in 1977, worked for five years as a Realtor in Wayzata, Minnesota and then returned to Vermont in 1986. She served as Vice President of the Southeastern Vermont Board of Realtors for two terms. Jody is available by appointment at our Brattleboro office or her home office by calling 802-387-5411.

Jody lives in Putney, Vermont and is active in the community. She sings as a soloist and soprano for area churches, weddings and ensembles including the New England Bach Festival and The Blanche Moyse Chorale. She enjoys hiking, skiing and gardening. A singer/songwriter, she played keyboard and guitar for the band The Loose Few and continues to perform folk/rock music locally. She believes in historic preservation, is interested in sustainable farming methods and eating locally grown foods. She serves as a certified National Level USSA ski jumping judge, is a member of the Harris Hill Ski Jump Committee and Pierce’s Hall Community Center. She is involved in the lives of her two grown children and enjoys life as a grandmother.
